Hear It From Me

It is always hard and a bit embarrassing to try and summarize yourself in just a few words, but here is my best shot. . . I am a daughter, a sister, a fiance, a best friend, a fighter, and someone who is determined to rise through her circumstances. 

As one of five from a single parent household, I never thought that I could never establish a life outside of Providence, RI. Everyone that I knew lived there and never left. It was as if it was this bubble, but I always knew that there was something bigger and better waiting for me outside of the smallest state. 

Going away to college was and still is one of my biggest accomplishments, as I look back on it today I was a 17 year Dominican girl coming from the smallest state with so much to experience and learn. I will be sharing journey my through not just college but post grad in a series of blogs, and hope that it can help someone in similar situations.
